As long as the mods don't mind a link to another forum, there is an informative marathon Jetico 1 thread at Wilders with useful information on how to configure the firewall. You will have to selectively filter out the posts that don't apply to you to get the info that matters most.

Like version 2, version 1 does require some patience to figure out, and a little basic networking knowledge can also go a long ways in achieving that goal.

Hi guy's.just joined and have been looking about for answers to my question but to be honest i'm getting a little confused.
I use the pc quite alot but am not clued up on alot of the tech terms etc.
i was using ZA free for about a year which was great as once installed it dose'nt bother you at all untill i found things were still getting through.
read as many reviews of firewalls as possible and found jetico came up the best,so installed it and i've found i'm pretty lost when trying to configure it. i've looked at other posts but dont really understand alot of what they are saying.
i've now put jetico on allow all because i can spend 10 mins hitting allow on the hundreds of popups and am getting frustrated and the manual isnt helping much.
i obviously want the best protection but sadly im a bit of a tech idiot.
if someone can find the time to walk through things i would be very gratefull
