I also have some infections I need to take care of but if I enact the allow all policy, my computer will probably crash. And apparently it is also blocking my update programs for Avast! and Symantec too.

If you still have viruses on your machine, then they should probably eliminated first before proceeding with Jetico.

I was poking around, and read stuff about rules and creating them, now I really don't know how to do that but maybe I need to creat one for Internet Explorer and FireFox? I really don't know why the popup to ask what to do isn't showing up, but I looked at the Applications tab while IE was trying to run and Jetico did identify it as an App, but it still won't run. Please help, I just did a repair installation and without access to my browsers I can even get onto the Microsoft Update site! I also have some infections I need to take care of but if I enact the allow all policy, my computer will probably crash. And apparently it is also blocking my update programs for Avast! and Symantec too.

Jetico blocks my browsers
« Reply #1 on: February 11, 2008, 12:45:03 PM »
Hi, I am new to Jetico but I think it is a great firewall. Whenever I try to access my internet browsers, the screen stays white, and the load bar goes to about half way and then says that the connection could not be established. I suspect Jetico because both my IE and FireFox aren't showing up in the Jetico application list, and there is also no popup asking me whether to allow the program or not when I start them up. Any help would be much appreciated.
