Yeah… The catch is that this problem is difficult to reproduce. However, it should be solved.

Regards, Toller.

There seams to be again a problem with the Network driver of Jetico Beta 23.

Hello,

The same weird incident happened with my home system. After installation beta 23 I did not have any problems but tonight I could not logon. The system was hanging and only after second cold reboot I could logon. Looking in the Event viewer I found only this message: “The description for event ID (0) in Source (Jetico Personal Firewall server) can not be foundâ€

Had the same problem that I think started with 21beta.  What happened to me is the server crashed on reconnect.  Weird crash since the service still showed in services even though I had killed it in ProcessExplorer.  No dump was created either.

I had waited until the 23beta came out to switch to NetPeeker for a day :(

Also one of the Jetico uninstalls deleted my sleek 400k config :( and I wish it didn't do that.

Today I deleted all mention of jetico from registry (weird that after uninstall all entries were still there) and I'll try it in a few days again.  Sure hope a new version comes out by then.

Thats a Service starting problem which appeared in former Beta's.

1. Did you install other security related programs as AntiVirus, HIPS etc.?
2. Are you logged in as Admin or with a limited account?

JPF UI failed to start
« Reply #1 on: February 07, 2007, 11:01:39 AM »
When I logon, I will get a dialog box:
"Could not connect to firewall server. Error code: 0x80080005".
Then another:
2. "Could not contact with Jetico Personal Firewall server.
     Can not continue. Sorry."

I have to stop and re-start Jetico Personal Firewall server via control panel, so JPF UI can re-connect to JPF server.

JPF was alright when I installed it, but it became like this after some time. I wonder what's wrong with it. It happened for previous versions too.
Thanks.
