We have released BestCrypt for Linux version 1.7-1.

The download page will not be updated for some time due to website relocations, so please get an updated release using these direct links:

Changes:
1. Linux kernel 2.6.30 support added

Release notes:
   1.  Linux kernel 2.6.29 support added
   2. Numerous stability improvements and bug fixes, including:
      - proper processing of containers located on read-only media
      - forced unmounting kernel crashes
      - unmounting several containers piled on a single mount point
      - hidden part size correction.
      - container size explicit convertion to next sector boundary
      - ntfs rw mounting
      - read-only linking\raw linking
      - proper driver resource control and device locking in format, fsck and mount utilities
   3. Major upgrade in BestCrypt architecture with improved support for extended functionality development
      BestCrypt now allows to explicetely define and use extended container format modules with all existing functionality.
      Refer to documentation for details
   4. Hidden part changes.
      A long standing bug in hidden part creation made actual size of hidden part to be 2kB more.
      This issue was not fixed not ot break existing containers, but new make_hidden commands will correct the size automatically


The roadmap for future releases:
- Bugfixing
- LRW, XTS cypher modes
- kgghost support
- space map support
- GUI

Release notes:
- Fixed a rare kernel lockup bug in BestCrypt driver device locking mechanism
- Fixed 2GB sized container creation issues on 32-bit 2.6.28 kernels
- Fixed container creation issues when running out of device space

The roadmap for future release:
- 1.x branch will continue mostly in bug fixing mode.
- We are currently developing 2.0 version that will feature full support with BestCrypt for Windows software, upgraded BestCrypt Development Kit and graphical frontend to console utilities.

1. RHES 5.x x86_64 support added.
2. Fedora Core 1 kernel 2.4.36.x support added
3. NTFS formatted containers can now be mounted in rw mode.
4. added -t fstype option to new and make_hidden commands. With it new containers\hidden parts will be formatted immediately

The roadmap for future release:
