Similar question exists in our BCWipe FAQ page.
Usually, Windows just warns about system files modified, but it loads without a problem.
In your case, I would suggest that you insert your system Setup disk and run "repair" procedure.
The modified files will be overwritten and operating system should load without a problem.

To avoid the problem in future, you should configure BCWipe to skip Windows files during
"wipe file slacks" procedure. You should do so using the instruction provided in the BCWipe FAQ webpage.

Zingy,
More details are needed here.  Which version of windows are you working with? With which service pack? At which point in the boot process does it hang? Explicit details on any error messages would also be helpful. And yes, a boot log might tell us something.

I was able to run BCWipe on free space, slack space, and swap space several times without any major problems on Windows XP and Windows Vista. The first time I ran it on Windows XP, the UI got a little funky (short menu names, for example), but after a reboot, everything has been fine.

Before I ran it, I turned of System Restore (on Windows XP) and Automatic Restore Points (on Windows Vista), deactivated my virus software, and did a quick check for any bad sectors. Running some sort of check disk before running BCWipe is a good thing to do. Then run BCWipe. After running BCWipe, I do another check for bad sectors. And don't forget to re-enable System Restore and the virus protection.

Windows Hangs after BCWipe free space

Hello:
Looks like after bcwipe finished it's doing. Windows hangs on the booting windows screen.  I can boot into safe mode, but not directly into windows.
I have not done boot logging or anything like that yet.  However, before the system was reloaded Windows File Protection complained about files being out of sorts. This is a little unnerving since actual files should not have been removed.
I see someone else has had issues with windows not booting backup after using bcwipe.

Any ideas or suggestions (besides reinstalling windows)
