Why a proxy server can't protect you like a VPN can

VPNs provide a lot more protection than proxy servers, even for those who just want to hide their IP addresses.
Here's why you should use a VPN instead.

When you attempt to uninstall BestCrypt Volume Encryption while some of the volumes are still encrypted, it warns you that in case of uninstallation you will lose access to your encrypted data.

If you still chose to continue, all BCVE components including drivers and boot loader are removed and upon a reboot you are locked out of the system (if system / boot volumes were encrypted).

Uninstalling?
« Reply #1 on: July 20, 2017, 09:05:01 PM »
Hi all,

Just a quick question regarding Bestcrypt. If a user accidentally uninstalls the program Bestcrypt Volume Encryption, would new data stored on the hard drive still be encrypted? So say, for example, that I copy a file from a memory stick onto a laptop - would that individual file be unencrypted if the program is uninstalled?

Thanks,

Tom
