SpywareBlaster
« Reply #1 on: September 10, 2009, 12:21:40 AM »
Spyware, adware, browser hijackers, and dialers are some of the most annoying and pervasive threats on the Internet today. By simply browsing a web page, you could find your computer to be the brand-new host of one of these unwanted fiends!

SpywareBlaster can help keep your system secure, without interfering with the "good side" of the web. And unlike other programs, SpywareBlaster does not have to remain running in the background. It works alongside the programs you have to help secure your system.

SpywareBlaster:

    * doesn't slow down web browsing
    * doesn't interfere with the "good side" of the web
    * doesn't slow down your computer
    * doesn't use up any memory or take any cpu
(you set it, close the program, and just remember to update it at least once a week)

SpywareBlaster provides protection for your favorite web browser(s) by blocking malicious 'Active x' threats:

Browsers currently covered:

Internet Explorer
Mozilla Firefox
Netscape
Seamonkey
Flock
K-Meleon
and browsers that use the IE engine, including:
AOL web browser
Avant Browser
Slim Browser
Maxthon (formerly MyIE2)
Crazy Browser
GreenBrowser

Although this tool will not remove Hijackers/Spyware from your system, it will help prevent you from getting infected.

Click 'Next':

If you want a shortcut on your Desktop to the program, tick this and then click 'Next':

Click 'Install':

After the program has installed, click on 'Finish':

You will now see the 'Welcome' page .... click 'Next':

If using the 'Free version' ... click on 'Manual Updating' and then click 'Next':

On the next screen click 'Finish':

Now the protection has to be enabled.(by default all protection is disabled)
Follow the next set of screens to enable all the protection:

Now that the protection has been enabled, you will need to update the protection:

Click on 'Download latest Protection Updates':

Click on 'Check for Updates':

If there are any updates, you will need to add these to the protection.
Click on 'Enable Protection for all Unprotected Items':

Now just close the program down and forget about it.
It's that easy.

Don't forget to check for any new updated protection items about once a week.
