Setting up Jetico Personal firewall v1
« Reply #1 on: January 22, 2010, 12:32:20 AM »
Hi. I have recently downloaded version 1.0 of the Jetico Personal
Firewall (Firewall server version 1.0.1.61 and Firewall user interface
version 1.0.1.86).

I have already spent several days trying to configure it. The previous
configuration attempt allowed to much outbound traffic. The current
configuration attempt disallows email and internet access completely. I
would like to request technical support to help me to troubleshoot and solve why my two main apps no longer work.

I am Computer Programmer/Systems Analyst, but I not real clear on what I
need to do to get my Mozilla Thunderbird email program to work (it says
"Could not connect to server mail.keyway.net; the connection was
refused." when I tried to get mail).

When I tried to go to http://www.msn.comhttp:// from my Mozilla Firefox browser it
said "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at http://www.msn.comhttp://.".

I am in a position to recommend products for clients across the country,
so it is important for me to not give up on products without
coordinating with technical support first and giving the software an
honest chance.

Thanks.

Robert
