I probably don't need DOD. However, that does not change the fact that this new 'fixed' module seems to hang at Pass 3, whereas the old module (that does not recognize '*') does not hang at Pass 3. Sorry, that's what I notice. But great work anyway! Thanks for the prompt support.

Are you sure you need DoD scheme?
It makes 7 passes.

Okay, I just tested the new module. It works okay, but it seems to hang in places or just go very slow at times. Maybe I'll just wait for the actual release in a few days.  ;D

Cool. I'd be happy to test the module for you to let you know if it works for me.

The bug has been already fixed, we need some time to test the version before uploading.
If you need it asap, please email us to support@jetico.com, we will send you the fixed module.
Otherwise, please wait for one-two days and download the fixed version when it is released.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Regrettably, that workaround won't solve my problem as I also have some folders in which I need to delete only some files - those with a specific pattern or file extension. I cannot isolate the files in their own directory, and deleting the the entire directory would be disastrous.

We are very sorry about the case.
This functionality always worked fine.
It seems that some of our recent changes caused the fail in the command line functionality - now it does not recognize '*' symbol.
The temporary workaround is to wipe the whole folder D:\Temp.
We will fix the bug asap.

BCWipe Command Line 'delete' Command Not Working?
« Reply #1 on: February 22, 2010, 07:49:05 AM »
I have just installed BCWipe 4 on my Windows XP notebook. To test the Command Line tool, I have included the following command in a batch file:
"C:\Program Files\Jetico\BCWipe\BCWipe.exe" delete -DoD -noemptyrecyclebin -nofileslack -noswapfile "D:\Temp\*.*"

When I run the batch file, nothing happens. No files are wiped/deleted.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug?
